Revision as of 20:34, 23 January 2015

The Computing and Information Sciences Department actively maintains three Windows 7 Professional computer labs. Nichols 122, Nichols 126, and Nichols 22 house 36 Windows machines. The thin client lab in Nichols 21 connects to either of two Windows 2003 Terminal Servers and a Linux server with a full GUI desktop.

The Nichols 122 computer lab contains 16 Intel Core i7 machines, each containing 8 GB of RAM. The Nichols 126 computer lab contains 8 Intel Core 15-2500K machines with 8 GB or RAM. The Nichols 22 computer lab contains 12 Pentium IV 1.8 GHz machines with 2 GB of RAM. One of the Windows 2003 Terminal servers has dual AMD Opteron 2435 processors for a total of 12 CPU cores at 2.60 GHz and 32 GB of RAM. You can login to this one using your CIS account. The other Windows 2003 Terminal Server has dual Intel Xeon X5650 CPUs for a total of 12 CPU cores (24 with hyperthreading enabled) at 2.67 GHz and 32 GB of RAM. You can login to this one using your KSU eID.
